The members of the Mid & West Wales ME Group [MWWMEG] aim to support each other in a number of ways. This helps to reduce feelings of isolation and increase our understanding of our potentially chronic neurological illness of ME/CFS.
We do this by:
We are the largest ME support group in Wales. Our membership consists of patients of all ages, who experience symptoms which range in severity from mild to severe, and also their carers and family. We live mainly in Meirionnydd, Ceredigion, Powys, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Gwent, Neath Port Talbot, and the Swansea area.
We support WAMES (the Welsh Association of ME & CFS Support) in their national campaign for improved health services, social care and education opportunities in Wales, and UK ME charities who campaign for biological research into ME/CFS, for better access to benefits, and on disability issues.
